Game of Words

Paulo Coelho in his book, Zahir  portraits  a desperate writer who is bound to find his Zahir, the lost love. The protagonist reveals his reasons to write. He wanted respect for himself. He wanted to express the feelings and leave an impact in other's life. He wanted to play the game, game of words. It is from Zahir I took inspiration to write. Words can have a mystic power. The pen can often write itself, provided with a reason. But it is not what it makes good writers. People tend to keep a diary upon hearing their idols maintain one. But after the first few entries, it is discarded altogether. The truth is writing is an art which chooses its destiny. The destiny of a writer lies at the tip of his pen and not in his hands. For many its a path to glory wealth  and whatever. But for some others it is  life. And that's why I wanted to be one of them. Autobiography is a way of writing which prevailed through out all stages of writing.Autobiography is the craziest

Fear And Failure

American President Mr Franklin D Roosevelt once said "The only thing we have to fear is fear". Fear is the feeling of anxiety concerning the outcome of something or the safety of someone or the likelihood of something unwelcome happening. Fear is an unwanted emotion that will let you from thinking clearly and solve issues. Fear is a false anticipation of  something to go wrong.Fear is a necessary evil. Fear often helps you in physical situations  by boosting adrenalin. But in mental and intellectual troubles fear is an adverse factor. When fear is inflicted it reduces your ability to think and lead you by instincts. Shakespeare in one of his famous dramas said "When you fear a foe, fear crushes your strength ; and this weakness gives strength to your opponents"  It is same in the case of problems in life. When you begin to fear them they will only grow. But rather when you start to face them you will see they will begin to melt away like ice. There is no life a

Life is Not an Easy Business

The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a scientific novella by R L Stevenson which describes a strange thing that a man has dual personalities and that can be choked out by medicine. When i first read the book i find it quite absurd. But later i was astonished to see how one of my friends connected it to our current lives. Dr Jekyll was a talented medical practitioner. When he tried one of his portions he changed to a stout, ugly man who was name Hyde. Jekyll was a man with values and good at heart. But Hyde had a personality as ugly as he was. my friend connected it to the way we act in social media and life. Today in social media we try to make a perfect man, which we want ourselves to be. We act as intellectuals who are ready to change the humankind. But we fail to be the same in life. What we pose in front of the society is what we want to be and not what we are. Seldom the society is reluctant to accept us how we are despite how good you are. A black dot on a white board

Nature in Litreature

Many of the great literature works on nature took birth centuries ago and are still relevant. Daffodils by William Wordsworth goes "I wandered lonely as a cloud That floats on high o'er vales and hills, When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of golden daffodils;" He knew that we humans are just a part of this vast nature. To enjoy the beauty we have to immerse in it and he wanted to be like a cloud that sees everything and floats in the sky. One can enjoy something only when he is calm as the white mountains. To be calm and serene it requires patience and will. To enjoy the calmness and aesthetics of nature one does not have to grow intellectual as Samuel T Coleridge, or Wordsworth or Robert Frost. He only has to see what the mother nature got to show him. He should have a mind like water which is ready to flow. The words of Shakespeare "And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, a

Man and The Mask

If you want to say something and have people listen then you have to wear a mask. If you want to be honest then you have to live a lie. – Banksy An honest man is mocked by his people. They know what he really is and doesn't care if he wants to change the world. But a mask on his face and men are ready to gulp what he says. Could've Peter Parker made the city better without the mask he had.   The superheroes and villains of all times has a mask as part of their heroic heist. Men wears ask when he has hints to hide. Often something to hide can  make them bold. For the heroes they had to hide their identity or else they can bring danger to all of their beloveds and it also make them bold to stand for what they think right. So they seems to wear a mask. Here superheroes are fictional and let's leave to their makers. Lets have a critical study on the masks that we wear today and what has it to do. Masks helps you to hide things.  Today we use masks of life to hide o

Why has Politics Gone Wrong??

India was the land of sages in the past. There was a time when we Indians were known for good . And speaking of politics there were people like Gandhi who were selfless and had vision of a prosperous india which would have been a heaven to live on. But where has it gone wrong?India seems to have a progress towards immorality. Its a great miracle how these criminals, thieves, rapists have managed to enter politics and its another wonder how they managed to get elected.    Its sad that even common people have become crooked. The world gets more complex per second and so people gets crooked. Bad people need bad leaders to lead them. The politics have grown to be a dirty game of money and muscle power, whereas it was a service to the nation.People gradually learned the business of politics and understood  the flow of resources behind it and learnt to exploit it for their own selfishness. When the rich and the powerful entered the game of politics the morale of politics came down.

Patriotism For a Common Man

We the people are all proud about our own nation. But have you ever thought what makes you feel this sensation of patriotism. According to George Bernard Shaw the feeling of hatred for the other makes one think he is patriot. And it is true in case of anything. In the case of religion too the same rule applies.         There is 30% of pride for our nation and the rest hatred. Hatred for the british was really the feeling of patriotism for us. There is a myth that the army men are the most patriotic. And we were told their sufferings were an example for the sensation of patriotism. But it realy is he gets high benefits and honor for their very less qualifications at the proffession. But there are true patriots who offer selfless service to the country. But the nation proves them to be great fools. What havethe nation done for them in return. They are the ones who really  suffers for us. The media and the govt let us common people to hear only stories where they were honored and rewa
