Why has Politics Gone Wrong??

India was the land of sages in the past. There was a time when we Indians were known for good . And speaking of politics there were people like Gandhi who were selfless and had vision of a prosperous india which would have been a heaven to live on. But where has it gone wrong?India seems to have a progress towards immorality. Its a great miracle how these criminals, thieves, rapists have managed to enter politics and its another wonder how they managed to get elected.

Its sad that even common people have become crooked. The world gets more complex per second and so people gets crooked. Bad people need bad leaders to lead them. The politics have grown to be a dirty game of money and muscle power, whereas it was a service to the nation.People gradually learned the business of politics and understood  the flow of resources behind it and learnt to exploit it for their own selfishness. When the rich and the powerful entered the game of politics the morale of politics came down.

When the people grew selfish and learnt exploiting others the politics have also changed accordingly. The number of crooks and criminals in politics is only increasing year after year.According to the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), which analysed the election affidavits filed before the Election Commission, 34 per cent of the new MPs face criminal charges. The percentage in 2009 and 2004 stood at 30 and 24 respectively. The wonder is that how they have manged to get into the assembly.

Across parties, candidates facing criminal charges were more than twice as likely to win as compared to those with a clean record, the ADR data shows. Great wonder why people have decide that they need only these people to represent them. people have grwon to money and so have decided to caste their votes for the monetary value than morale of politics.

Parting ways

"What would you say if I ask you out?" asked him. The question startled her mildly, for she always thought of him as her friend. It was quite unusual of him to ask, she thought.  It was a beautiful day in the park. The sky was blue and the sun shone brightly. Children were playing at distance. They were walking along the pavement, looking at the kids playing.  "Hey," he called her.  "Well hypothetically, I might not create a scene, but I don't want a relationship now." Said she.  It's what he expected all along. For he never wanted to upset her. After all, it's only a miracle if a girl in this world would go out with me, he thought.  She thought, it' s been over a year since I met him. We had a good time. Now he's asking all the wrong questions. He asked few questions. That's what I liked about him.  He came to her asking for a donation to help the homeless while they were in College. A guy like that, smart, charming and witty. He ...

Twists of faith

Dean was a bright, young chap from Oxford. He was interested in studying other people, so he decided to pursue a Masters in Philosophy.  His dream was to obtain a PhD in the same discipline. Dean was walking down the road one day, when he suddenly went up to a pool and dipped his head in water. A stranger nearby, felt uneasy watching this odd behavior and asked him, "Hey dude, what's that you are doing there?”   “Huh?", Dean replied, "I’m trying to suffocate myself, so that my thinking, will stop." "What? What is so terrible in your thoughts, that you need to suffocate yourself? ", asked the man?  "I was thinking of religion, mate”, said Dean.  The stranger felt uneasy, hearing that a man would want to avoid thinking about religion. He thought that this man must be crazy. He asked, "What's your name?" Dean said to the man, “My name is Dean and as you seem to have interest in me, I'll tell you my story." This is how he...
